Question
What can you eat that is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, has no added sugar, no preservatives, no GMO, and uses less meat?
My answer
A hot and steaming bowl of nothing.
Here's the scoop
These are dishes I ate in March of 2017 when I took on an experiment to take care of myself 100% of the time.
These photos plus raw fruits and veggies is what I ate this month. It's left me 9 lbs. lighter and never hungry. However, within 2 months I gained the weight back - keeping it real.

Leftover salmon, greens, oranges, balsamic.
Start with any greens, add leftover chicken and avocado.
bake 350F, then broil - voila, done.
My favorite dish at Marche - Bainbridge Island.
Squeeze a slice of grapefruit for your dressing.
Baked squash, onions, and garlic. Blend with salt and pepper, yum.

cajun spice, coconut oil, bake 375F then broil.
Kale, avocado, shredded carrot, leftover chicken and onions make this surprisingly good.
Read the ingredient labels on your mayo.
Start with any greens, add beets and citrus. Squeeze citrus on salad with balsamic as dressing.
Saute kale, shrimp, and mushrooms with coconut oil. Side: spaghetti squash.
Not for the faint of heart.
Over time I've found that beets make a great main dish.

Time for dessert!
Great seafood restaurant choice. Skip the dressing, lemon is perfect.
Avocado along with veggies fill me up surprisingly well.
Boil, peel, add balsamic, done.
Skip ham with nitrates.

keeping it real
The not so glamorous that still makes me smile.
Mix the hot egg into the greens as your salad dressing.
They look gross, but not to be overlooked. I'll snag them yellow and on a fire-sale at the grocery, throw them in the food dryer.
Crumble leftover meatloaf, add sun dried tomatoes.
This plus a little smoked peppers.

Yes, fruit has sugar but it's a heck of a lot better than junk food.
Keeping nuts with me is key.
Again, last night's leftovers reheated and then tossed with kale.
