Service Description

This is an intermediate class that is a fusion of Pilates and Weight Bearing exercises. Gain a rock-solid core safely. This class is for students looking for a little more challenge than the beginners Mat Pilates class. You will learn the full BASI Mat Pilates repertoire that will safely leave you stronger than ever. This is our only class that is not suitable for absolute beginners. If you are new to exercise please join a beginner class first. The unique class has three sections. 1. The first 5 minutes is an informal stretch time for participants to log in. 2. Then Lyn will guide you through a 30 minute Pilates-based routine that gently and safely exercises every muscle from your hips through to your neck. 3. The last 10 minutes are spent stretching and regaining flexibility. Equipment Needed: Yoga mat or non-slip floor is needed. Stretchy (Thera) band. Light weights (not required) What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes and no shoes. Fitness Level: Intermediate. All are welcome to join and participate as they can. All exercises are accessible for people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness. For this class we highly recommend you first try the Mat Pilates for Beginners.
