Class Descriptions

Mobility and Stability Class Description

Begin your journey back to restoration with this movement class. Inspired by our clients who find regular exercise tends to flair up their health issues and those rehabbing injury. Increase your balance, flexibility, and practice specific exercises to help strengthen stability on your feet. All effort is celebrated. Typical class includes: - Breathing and relaxing the mind - Massage of hands and feet - Range of motion for neck - Range of motion for arms and legs - Gentle spine rotation and movement - Gentle face and sinus massage - Gentle stretching No equipment needed. Fitness Level: Absolute beginner to beginner. All exercises are designed to be accessible for any people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness.

Stretch and Refresh Class Description

Gain flexibility and mobility through a series of stretches designed to unwind, destress, and safely restore your range of motion. Throughout this hour you will stretch every muscle in your body with an emphasis on legs, neck, and shoulders. Equipment Needed: Yoga Mat (optional, but highly recommended). Any pillow. A Thera-band or yoga strap. First-time students need no equipment. Many students do this class from the comfort of their bed. What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes. Bare feet (shoes are optional if you prefer). Fitness Level: Absolute beginner to beginner. All exercises are designed to be accessible for any people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness.

Mat Pilates for Beginners Class Description

Rejuvenate your body and spirit. This class focuses on strengthening all core muscles. This form of exercise helps relieve common back pain and gives strength to every activity you love in the rest of your life. The unique class has three sections. 1. The first 5 minutes is an informal stretch time for participants to log in. 2. Then Lyn will guide you through a 30 minute Pilates-based routine that gently and safely exercises every muscle from your hips through to your neck. 3. The last 10 minutes are spent stretching and regaining flexibility. Equipment Needed: Yoga mat is recommended. What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes and no shoes. Fitness Level: Absolute beginner to beginner. All exercises are designed to be accessible for any people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness. Recommended you are able to sit and lay on the floor, however some students complete the exercise from the comfort of their bed.

Yoga for Beginners Class Description

Center your mind while strengthening your core. This beginners yoga class is designed to help you stand taller and stronger than ever before. Designed for the absolute beginner looking for a positive space to begin their yoga practice. This is a unique class. 1. The first 5 minutes of class is for participants to log in. 2. For the next 30 minutes Lori leads you through a gentle yoga practice designed to increase balance, gain core strength, lengthen muscles and center your mind. 3. The final 5 minutes is spent centering and breathing. Equipment Needed: - Yoga Mat - No Shoews - Optional: Yoga strap and yoga block - First-time participants need no equipment. What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes. Yoga is traditionally done with bare feet, however shoes are welcome if you need the foot support. Fitness Level: Absolute beginner to beginner. All exercises are designed to be accessible for any people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness.

Intermediate Mat Pilates Fusion Class Description

This is an intermediate class that is a fusion of Pilates and Weight Bearing exercises. Gain a rock-solid core safely. This class is for students looking for a little more challenge than the beginners Mat Pilates class. You will learn the full BASI Mat Pilates repertoire that will safely leave you stronger than ever. This is our only class that is not suitable for absolute beginners. If you are new to exercise please join a beginner class first. The unique class has three sections. The first 5 minutes is an informal stretch time for participants to log in. Then Lyn will guide you through a 30 minute Pilates-based routine that gently and safely exercises every muscle from your hips through to your neck. The last 10 minutes are spent stretching and regaining flexibility. Equipment Needed: Yoga mat or non-slip floor is needed. Stretchy (Thera) band. Light weights (not required) What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes and no shoes. Fitness Level: Intermediate. All are welcome to join and participate as they can. All exercises are accessible for people living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness. For this class we highly recommend you first try the Mat Pilates for Beginners.

Strength for Beginners Class Description

Designed for the absolute beginner looking for a positive space to begin their strength exercises. This is a unique class. The first 5 minutes of class is for participants to log in. For the next 30 minutes Lyn leads you through a series of gentle strength exercises. The final 10 minutes is spent stretching and breathing. Equipment Needed: - Yoga Mat, Stretchy Band, Optional Weights - First-time participants no equipment needed. What to wear: Comfortable/stretchy clothes and tennis shoes. Fitness Level: Absolute beginner to beginner. All exercises are designed to be accessible for any person living with low vision, blindness, or chronic illness.

Strengthen Everything Class Description

In 45 minutes you will strengthen every major muscle group in your body. This class is designed for those short on time but still wanting to hit it all. Absolute beginner to advanced. Absolute beginners start with no weights, as strength increases students add progressively heavier weights to increase their strength.
